Kelley Bova is a former Tradeshow and Restaurant Manager and a pretty good wife and mother of two wonderful children. As a stay at home mother, she learned to quilt with the Apple Valley Needle Threaders in Berryville, VA. When she learned several local quilt shops closed, she thought where am I going to get my fabric now?
Kelley opened The Scrappy Apple in September 2010 with the idea that Winchester needed it's own quilt shop. She's created a happy place where everyone could go to get quality fabrics, thread, inspiration and have a fun place to sew.
In seven years, The Scrappy Apple has taught over 50 people to sew and quilt including children as young as 8 and women, well never mind their age!
The Scrappy Apple has hosted four trips to Ireland and one to England, Scotland and Wales and in September 2017 we traveled down the romantic Rhine River. Playing with fabric and quilters in another country is great fun!
To learn new techniques, find new patterns, review new books and definitely to play with fabric, come to The Scrappy Apple, to quilt and more!
