60 shops across the nation and Canada get together in January for a shop owner's seminar. Part of this seminar includes a mystery quilt written by Karen Montgomery.
3 years ago we shop owners decided to introduce and run the quilt mystery at the same time, beginning on National Quilting Day or the third Saturday in March.

We created a private Facebook page for participants to share their kits, progress and eventually their quilts. You can join this group after you purchase a kit.

This year we offer 28 days of quilting tips for February. On March 1, Karen will share a bonus quilt block with a video showing how to make it and using the ruler recommended for the mystery quilt.

In the Brown Bag kit, you'll get all the fabric to make a 52" x 68" quilt top, inclusion into the private Facebook group and all it includes plus all your clues will be mailed to you.

On the website, each Brown Bag picture is a picture of one of the fabrics in the kit, this gives you a feel of what's in the bag. When you purchase your Brown Bag Quilt Kit on-line, you'll have the option to purchase the coordinating fabric as a border. The recommended amount is 3 yards for border and binding. Also shown is the 45/90 Creative Grids Ruler which is also recommended to make the quilt.

The first clue is mailed March 17 and the Facebook video for the first clue is March 18.
